Transporting an XS11

I agree with the trailer. I built my own trailer and spent around $200. Although it rides high, it does the job. You would think I was nuts if you saw how I load the xs.

I've towed mine on a Nuway folding 4x8 trailer there rated for 900# payload. The trailer weighs less than 300 lbs. Northern tool sells them for 199 without the wheels. I bought mine in 93 at Kmart for about 150 moved 1200# on it from Orlando fl to Glens Falls NY and then to Groton Ct. behind an 83 Ford Escort Station wagon with a class 1 hitch. Didn't set any Speed Records and allowed plenty of room for stopping. It was a Navy move so I had to get it weighed to get paid. It was overloaded and I bent the axle a little doing it but its still bent and still works fine. The XS on it is now problem behind a 4WD Ranger with a 3.0 liter. I've never had to fold mine up for storage but it does if space is tight. I looked a t Uhal and a 5x9 open trailer from Tualatin, OR to Austin, TX is $291 so for less than that you get to keep the trailer.
