    pickup coils from bikebandit?

bikebandit.com shows a part # and price for new pickup coils. I was just wondering, has anyone tried to order these and are they actually available? I know there are fixes for the old ones, but I know from experience that once wiring starts to break down, it tends to be a continuing saga. I would much rather just buy new ones. Thanks

They are a new and improved design with better wires. Bikebandit is a reputable company, and I would hesitate to do business with them again. The price is around $100 isn't it?

I must have stupid fingers tonight. I said I would hesitate to business with them again, when I should have said that I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again. I'm too excited about the Red Sox to think straight. But don't be afraid to order from them.

I put a set of these on my F last May, and I am very pleased with them. I will put a set on my SF this winter. They come with the coils, and all wiring, including a new plug. Mine cost $110.00 delivered. Bike Bandit is an excellent firm to deal with, no BS, quick service, excellent product, and reasonable prices.

The reason Bikebandit is so good is because they drop ship genuine yamaha parts at just a bit more than dealer prices, only you don't have to get off your butt and go to the dealer. Also, ever ask a dealer for a part and get that deer-in-the-headlights stare? "What year was that?" "Dude, that's like.....older than me!..."

My TCI has a bigger brain than some of those parts counter jocks!

Just got them for from Bike Bandit for my 78E. When I started fixing the wires I caused a cascade effect and they kept going bad one by one. I installed the new set in probally less time than it took to fix a wire. Go for it.
