I'm almost done restoring an 80, XS1100G, and loving it. I need some advise about cleaning the aluminum heads. Are they coated with something or are they plain old aluminum. I'm not sure what to use on them.

I just went down the the frame on my 78E, any tricks or products you used that worked well please post.There's always a way, figure it out.

They are painted between the fins. If you are removing oil/grease, try kerosine on a rag (no sparks or open flames, thank you!).
