  • resistor type plugs

just bought some new plugs for my '79xs1100 special. I got the last 4 'PB6ES's. He said that after that, i have to move to a 'BPR6ES', tho the difference, he said, is that it just has a resistor in it. I grabbed a couple of them from him, but i wanna check with y'all before trying something new.

What's the resistor for, how does it work, does it burn cooler, or just draw less volts?

    resister

I might be wrong but if i remember right the resister just keeps your system from interefering with radio waves etc. So your radio or the guys next to you wont go tic, tic, tic as your plugs fire. ..............MITCH

why the hell do i care about the car next to me? in fact, i want him to look over and check out my baby.

does this mean i'm not gonna set off car alarms when i go through a parking garage, too? hell with that, i'm not using em.

but really, is that all they do?

Been running them for years w/ no probs. Mitch is right just for radio interference. Gotta have tunes.
There's always a way, figure it out.
