  • spray silicon for carb slides?

I have been thinking about using spray silicon to lubricate the carb slides. Would this be a bad thing with heat or with gasoline and make the silicon get sticky? Cause other problems?

I would almost think a petroleum based lube would be better, and the slides don't really come into contact with the fuel. But on the other hand, anything in the airhorn would collect any dirt that may get past the filter, and really gum things up. So probably the best thing to do is make sure the air horn and slide are very clean and smooth.
