learned something re:p/up wires...

I learned something new this week....

3 Broken pick-up coil wires (1 in 2 places) can mimick pilot jet problems R E A L close!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After going through the carbs a few more times( for exercise I guess) I decided to look at the p/up wires again. duhhh

3 were broken in new places and 1 wire was broken in 2 places..... it sure felt like someone had re-installed those K&L pilot jets

Anyhow... all is right again (now I will be going to Rad. Shack and getting some replacement Multi-meter wires!)

Wanna fix that for good and ever? Go to Bike Bandit and get the new pulser pick-up coils. They come with new coils, all wiring and the plug that rests behind the fuse box. They cost $110.00 delivered. Better than the original

You're probably right Jerry, but when I add it up, it is just too expensive right now to order the pulser coils.
When I figure in the US $ exchange, shipping and the Cdn gov'ts share (for the not-so-free-trade costs) it's too much for my budget right now. I maybe should have considered all that when I bought the XS last year, but I didn't know then what I was getting into. I'll try the $12.00 route first...... then maybe next year... who knows?

I wouldn't have traded the XSperience working on this bike for anything else though! and I am hoping I can keep it running for many years to come. I certainly couldn't have done it without this site, for sure.
