will a 1978 xs 750 front wheel fit a 78 xs 1100???

I believe the wheel is the same, but the brake rotors are smaller. The XS1100 shares brake discs with the XS650 which also has the same front wheel.

If you had the desire to run a wire spoke wheel on the front, you can mount one from an XS650. The 650 wheel is ready to accept a second rotor. Just get one from a 1977 or later model.
