    Differential drain TQ

    I don't have access to my manual and I need the torque value for the drain plugs on the gear boxes. A quick search didn't turn anything up.

    '81H manual shows 31 ft/lbs on the middle-16.5 ft/lbs on the final.Probably over 100 ft/lbs to get 'em off!

      Just use the German torque...Gooduntite! No really, just tighten them until they snap, the back them off 1/4 turn.

        I use a 36 inch breaker bar to put them on. When I strip the heads out I know that they're tight enough.
