The only thing I can add is that I like to use a socket big enough to cover the outer ring when pressing the new seals in. But one small enough, of course, to fit into the tube(like taping in a bearing). I also like the chisel idea, I have used that method myself. But also back the warning to be very careful and patient. I haven't seen a lower spacer like that on either of the 80 sg's that I've done. It's possible I guess that yours are different. I told you they'd be a pain didn't I . Years from now it will be a good conversation piece, right? Best of luck.

What wt fork oil are you useing? I used 10wt in mine. The fork oil wts usually start at 5wt up to 30wt, Hydraulice cylinders I've built in the Army used regular 15/40. I heard that regular tranmission fluid seems to work as a good oil.
As far as air pessure in your forks, The best, ( and I mean, the BEST ) way to get the right amount of air pessure in your forks, at equal amounts, with minimal air loss, without the possibility of blowing out the new seals, is to go get a small, hand operated bicycle tire pump with a gauge on it that will measure down to the one pound range. ( I bought might at our local sporting goods store for around $15.00 ) You'll want to make sure that the air nozzel is the quick release type. This will give you the opportunity to get the air as close as possible, as well as air up you tires and even air up the kids ( and yours ) bicycle tire. Ya could even feed someone lots of expresso and let em pump away. might be enough to drive air tools
