Sizes for Handlebar Mount bolts and caps

Does anyone know the exact sizes for the 4 stock alan bolts that are used for mounting the handlebars and if it's easy to find the little plastic caps that go on them?

I think that they are 8Mx25 (8mm and 25mm long) but maybe someone else can confirm that.

Don't know about the caps. I don't have them on my bike.

Harley sells real nice chrome caps and their not that expensive.

Bob, the caps just make it look cleaner. I've found that also te water that can sit in the sockets does just that. Sits and corrodes and corrodes.

Meista007, I'll check out the Harley Dealership that just so happens to be about a half mile from where I'm at. As long as they dont say HD on em, I might pick a set up.

I can throw some stainless bolts in with the exhaust system if you want. Unless you have your heart set on finding caps.

But I already have the socket heads in. They look tops and while I was at it I wiped what looked like 25 years of dirt and grime off the cables and wiring from the bars through the guages and headlight.
It never ceases to amaze me how a little thing can make a bike look so much better.
I'll post pics of the new stuff soon.

Tell me about it..... Everytime I wash my bike I have to spend some time just looking at it to appreciate the difference. With all the chrome, even a little dust and road grime takes the brilliance away.
