  • reserve range 80 XS100G

Wondering if anyone can confirm the size of the reserve in the fule tank. My Clymer book lists 5.3 US gal. for the E and F models but nothing for the G. I hit reserve at 122 to 128 miles like clockwork, and the bike takes 3.8 to 4.0 gals on the sidestand shortly after. Went for a cross state ride last night and found very few gas stations open so got REAL interested in the amount of reserve on board. Thanks to anyone who'll share the benefit of running dry . Didn't find anything when I searched the forum so maybe this will benefit others as well.

    Happy Trails!

Just figure your mpg at next fillup as close as possible to when you hit reserve. Then figure difference from what tank holds to how much you just put in. Then take the difference times the mpg to get how far reserve should take you. Don't cut it to close or you'll be pushing.
My Clymers on page 247 says 5.3 US GAL
There's always a way, figure it out.
