• XS11 hats on eBay... but $36!!!

$10 would be ok, $15 would be pushing it... but $36 is obscene IMO.
I ***LOVE*** my '80SG but 'would NOT pay $36 for a baseball cap - the guy that payed that needs his head examined IMO

XS11 Hats

I would like to have a look inside that hat. A year ago I was in the 7 Cedars Casino just south east of Port Angelas. Johnny Yukon, Skinnybiker and I had stopped in for steak on are way down to Denny Z's for the PNW XS Rally. Well some AH thieved my neat new XS hat off the back of my chair while we were eating dinner.
As taught by my mother many years before going to camp I had put my name in the inside in small letters with a black magic marker. I wonder if the thief just made $36. as a reward for his/her theft. Pissssed

Ken,
I seriously doubt this was your hat...
...the same person has also sold another hat (the same type) for a 'mere' $26...

(I'd still love to have one of these, but a more 'afordable' price)

I know the feeling friend. I bid up to $25.01 on each of the last two this guy sold on ebay, but thats even too damn much to pay for a dogon ball cap! $15-$20 is about right for a one so rare.

Hats

I got mine just last year. My feeble old brain cannot remember from who though. He had a friend stationed in Korea at the time. He took orders for about 25. Had them made up and all who ordered received one. I had just gotten mine and this was it's first trip out of the house. S--T
Anyway, I have heard that he now has another friend about to be posted to Korea. Maybe we will get another chance. Especially if he happens to read all this Bi--ching.

...well then; ANYbody else want a XS11 hat?

...I have hats made for my business, and I'm calling the lady that does all the embroidery on them and our amplifier covers THIS morning. I'll have to initially pay for the 'setup', prototype, and get ~3 dozen hats... but, I think I can do it for about $15/hat. (this is what it cost for my 1st 'hat run') Priority mail will be ~$4 or $5 to the 'lower 48'.

If anybody is interested go to my website (http://www.unclespot.com) and you'll find my eMail address at the bottom of the page... (tel.# is there as well, if you'd rather call)

...'gotten 3 inquiries so far about the XS11 hats...

I just, yesterday (Saturday), decided I wanted to check into how practical getting hats would be...

The graphics were sent to my embroidery lady, but she normally doesn't work on weekends... so the absolute earliest she will get it would be Monday morning.

...and then she'd have to check to see **IF** she has the fonts in her computer, or she'd have to have a graphics person 'design' it for her. Once it's in her computer she'd have to do a prototype.

Now the time-factor comes into play; this is August, school is starting the end of this month, and the majority of her income is derived from doing school jacket 'Letters', school names, band-logos, and the such for the Valley school system here - *that* equates to THE busiest time of the year for her, *and* where she makes the majority of her money... so, little 'projects' like these XS-Eleven hats are definitely going to be "when she can get to it" (unfortunately). ...in other words; the timing on *this* project is absolutely THE worst it can/could be... but, I *DO* plan on going ahead with this hat. ...it's just going to take some time I think. (...a rough 'guess-timate' would be the middle of Sept to the mid of Oct before I see these...)

I will post on this board about my progress...

XS regards,
Ron (UncleSpot)

'pickin' the hats up TOMORROW!

the lady that does my embroidery for my business hats is FAST - a little on the expensive side, but she delivers, and usually 2-4 weeks earlier than planned!

...so, anyway I had her make 24 'XS11" hats. They're $15/ea and $5 shipping in the 'lower 48' - I'd have to check how much for other places...
This is what they look like: http://www.unclespot.com/XScap.jpg

I *wear* hats, so if nobody wants one no problem... I just didn't want to pay $40 and up on eBay...

(if you're interested go to my website - www.unclespot.com and my 'contact info' is near the bottom of the main page)

Hey I'll be contacting you for a hat. Why stop there. Now that you have the font and colors why not do golf shirts and T-shirts?

I'll take a hat! And I'm all for the shirts, too! A friend of mine has a Ducati and buys tons of junk with "Ducati" written all over it! (grumble grumble Italian superbike grumble grumble)

What do we want? XS11 Gear!
When do we want it? NOW!

Hats & Shirts

UncleSpot, I just ordered a hat and asked about a xs shirt also. Maybe you can ship together.
There's always a way, figure it out.

¿T-shirts?...

...it usually takes longer to have Ts made than hats... but I'll call my "T-shirt" lady this morning and see what the feasibility is... I have 'Uncle Spot' Ts made, but I have to get them in 'gross lots' (144 at a time)... no offense, but I don't want to be 'blessed' with 142 Ts if only 2 people want one... I'd like to keep this as reasonably priced as possible; there's a 'setup' fee, and different size shirts cost more for the larger ones, and even though I'd be sending these to other states *I* have to pay the taxes on these here in "Can'tAffordYa".

..soooooo, is it possible on this board to do 'Polls'?
I'd like to know a few things before I get started:
1) how many people would be interested...?
2) how many sizes would have to be bought...?
3) what color would everyone 'settle on' - marroon w/white and gold emblem - or...??
4) regular T - or Polo shirt...??

...if there are enough people interested I'll check into it.
I'll post my results as soon as I find out something.

...Man, this group of people *ARE* XSive! I love it, *AND* my XS11SG!
