    Exhaust question

    Dumb question for the day,....but why do I stink of exhaust after I ride for even a short while. I've tighted ever thing down. looked for leaks, but can't seem to find any.

    any ideas?

        I bet you have taken the air box off or your crankcase ventilation hose is off and your getting those fumes on you. Just a thought.....................MITCH

            I remember Dave Hogue at Camp XS '98(?) when He was actually getting sick from his exhaust. I think one of his header gaskets had disintegrated. Ask Dave, for sure...

              I ended up replacing the joint gaskets, 5 in total and it cleared up the problem.
