    Rear Brake Light

Did it two nights ago on my 78 XS11. It was tight alright but just had to use a little brute force. After disconnecting the wires and spring it lifted slightly from it's support yoke then levered out from the bike. Cleaned up the contacts inside, put on a little dielectric grease and forced it back in. Long nose needle point pliers helped on the spring.

        Brake Light Switch

Ah, but you missed that satisfaction feeling of rejuvenating a bit of your XS. Works for me anyway.
