great to see the site back up and running(what the f**k happened anyway)

right here we go every gear change up or down the box is clunky(technical word) tried all sorts of changes, reving it up, or letting the revs die down, quick changes, slow changes, any body know what the problem is,by the way my 79 xs is triked but that shouldnt have anything to do with it .....heeeeelp

    Hey there Stuart,

The site was hacked a few weeks ago by a dipstick!! J.P. and the other moderators got it back up pronto!

Alas laddy, the clunky gearbox IS the XS 11 legacy!!! What type/range of oil are you running? Using a higher range like 20/50 "can" help, but definitely won't eliminate it!!! Had a friend riding behind me, thought he was going to see tranny parts fly out from my bike with every shift!!!

And, it being a trike, you may have more body parts reflecting the tranny sounds back up to your ears more so than if it were a standard 2 wheeler!? As long as your oil levels are correct, just have to live with it! It does this to make the Harleys feel better!!
