Wow! Thanks to all you unknowns!!

Ya know...just bought my 1981 XS1100 Special...so much needs done to it. This site is a wealth of information and we are in here continually checking out what you all have to say about things. Special thanks to Buckb as he has been particularly helpful with "silly" questions I have. Still having probs getting this thing to continue running. Replaced the fuel lines and clamped them..started like a dream and then crapped out and would not start again....agggggggggghhhh...Clymers has become my bathroom reading material rather than Cosmopolitan...hehehehe...and i have more grease under my nails than a mechanic...I spend more time in this site than I do playing POGO...one way or another I will have this bike running by the time I get my holidays in August.

I really wanted to say that you all are excellent...I am very happy I came upon this site!

hmmmmmmmmmm...women going where only men have dared to tread...now that is getting scary or terribly brave of us. I will keep coming in and garnering info...asking questions and letting you know when I find something particularly helpful...again...great site and so far all I have "met" seem like excellent ppl.

It can become quite a love affair to own an XS/XJ11.
And, I don't know any bikes that have this kind of ownership support. Just a bunch of great people! Anyway, be proud of the new custom look of your fingernails and I hope you get your bike running well soon and get out riding.
