Looking for windshield
Hello to all,
I just was wondering if anyone knew of a fairing that yamaha made called a sports fairing, it fit on the XS and would also fit on a Maxim. It was a handle bar mount and there is a picture of it in the 1981 Feb issue of Cycle on page 16 (lower bike). I was wondering if anyone had one for sale or knew where to get a replacement windshield for one? Also does anyone make an aftermarket seat for a 80 XS special? One last thing I had a post on some carb issues, and I got problem all fixed, Bike runs great now, replaced needle and seats and re-synched carbs, was just wondering if I am supposed to end the post someway or if it just runs out on its own, or just leave it alone? Anyway thanks for your help, and one more thing was riding with my dad yesterday, he rides a 1997 Road King, anyway we were riding through this small town with no stops signs or such and he started bragging he was in third gear, ( we were going about 20 to 25 MPH ) and don't I wish I had the torque his harley had, I just said no I am in fifth gear and then rolled on and left him there with his mouth open, I got a good laugh out of that.
