1982 Xs1100?

after months of searching.... I finally have found some saddlebags. they are off of a "1982 XS1100".

wouldn't this be an XJ? does anyone know if these would fit my 1979 special?

i really need these suckers.

Some states title the vehicle the year it was sold, not its model year. If a dealer had a left over '81 XS11 and sold it in '82, it could well be an '82 XS11, and not necessarily an XJ. Thats why the VIN / Engine numbers are important to have so you can nail down just what model you have. The XJ numbers start with 10M.

There are differences in the rear footpeg mounts, seat and seat mounts, and grab bar mounts. If the bags use any of these as mounting points they would not be a bolt-on swap between models.
