    rear brake loss

Sorry to jump on your post ,but last night i had an issue w/rear brakes.felt like nothing was there.Checked fluid level was fine.Got to looking at the pedal like Jerry stated above.Disconected the rod, spring, and light switch,WOW i could hardly move the brake lever by hand.Took it all apart ,with a hammer(only way to get the mech. out of there) Sanded it all up with some80grit , applied some wheelbearing grease, put it all back together,WOW like brand freaking new. Thanks guy's yet again.

      Overheating Rear Brakes

scalded dog, the only feasible reason would be that the brakes are working harder stopping the additional weight. The fact that someone sitting on the back could have no other bearing on this.
