So 3 years ago I decided to venture down what would be a black hole of a project that never quite came out how I wanted.
After a couple moves I decided to give the bike to a friend who promptly stole stuff off of it and never bothered to do anything with it.
2 years later I have a garage and I'm back with a fresh set of eyes and skils.
Current specs:
-Motogadget M-unit 2.0: that now control all my electrical peripherals
-Motoscope pro: Not worth the money but it looks kinda neat.
-Completely cutom wiring harness (70+hrs of chasing gremlins and finding
problems.)
Custom tripple tree clamp for clip-on bars (not a fan of clip-ons on this bike TBH)
-Stupid seat I made out of an ikea pillow some steel plate and lexan.
-LED inset hoop for the rear.
-Open pipes because the exhaust decided to pole vault me off the bike on test ride day (Thanks for the sh*t engineering on that one yamaha) -.-
-Green coilpacks and custom plug wires.
-Barnett carbon clutch (need to dove tail my gears because second still slips bad under load)
(Yes I did soak the disks prior to install)
-More to come...
And this is it now.
Still in the processs of stripping and polishing the tank (and now removing a fat dent from the pole-vaulting incident.)
(The green is just acrylic paint I was using for a joke it's gone now)
Highly advise if you are lowering the bike to get rid of the factory exhaust so you don't end up like me flipped over the front bars.
It rides AMAZING, now but unfortunly after the first long treck something either the regulator/rectifier fried or the stator gave up the ghost.
So I'm on the hunt for both of those now.
That's it for now but if anyone wan't to take on the nightmare that is rewiring the whole thing to run off the motogadget M unit I have plenty of trial and error info I can help with.
Nice to be back, everyone!
