Where would I find a pair of XJ1100 front fork bushing, also called sliders? I did find the top bushings but I need to find some lower sliders. Thanks. I'm in the process of rebuilding my forks and braking system before the spring riding season. Woohoo, I can feel the Ozark mountains approaching soon with my May departure schedule; via the Arkansas Pig Trail. SooWee

Yes, Eureka Springs is at the very top of the Pig Trail. The entire area is wonderful; pretty scenery combined with a nice motorcycle adventure; better than Houston TX's flat land.'80 XS1100LG Midnight Special

The upper stanchion bushes are probably still available but not the lowers, they never were. They are a non removable part of the lower fork leg according to Yamaha.2H7 (79) owned since '89

Yep, I remember getting some custom bushings from Lindemann many years back, was not the effort changing them myself, buggered up the fork leg pretty bad.2H7 (79) owned since '89

Nice response team. Thanks. I reassembled the forks without replacing the bushings. They're NOT available, but I did locate the top sliders. It looks like you need a special tool to remove them. Thanks again for the info., it's one reason this forum is a great resource...smart and knowledgeable riders.'80 XS1100LG Midnight Special
