Quite a while since I have been able to the access site and sad to see it slowing down because it has good info and dedicated members. I learned enough here to save a few of these old beasts but I'm back to what I know best. Picked up a 1948 FL and a 1978 FLH last spring and was able to putt around on both this weekend at a gathering called Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in NW Arkansas. Not as challenging to make a neglected HD run, I'm guessing most don't have the opportunity to deteriorate out in the weather unless the owner is seasoning it lol, but happy none the less I at least can still wrench a little bit. These are the last motorcycles I am going to own or work on. Pretty sure anyway ....
That being said I have a set of 2.0 mikuni float valves, a set of early carb needles, 3 brass floats, a home made fixture to set float levels, and a few other odds and ends to donate to the cause if someone wants to cover shipping. Put out this post instead of doing a PM to BA80 so I could brag a little on the HD's and hear about how crappy they are, but first dibs to Greg and will wait a while to see if he responds.
Thanks again to all for sharing the knowledge and experience. Hope it continues for years to come.
