Lilely worked okay for ya Marty, if that's on the same bike I sat on when you, I, Jeff and Brent met for lunch that time, halfway between Atlanta and Columbus Georgia.

It was. Now working on running rich. I cleaned up the wiring, gained two volts to the coils. I replaced the coils. I went from 27 mpg to almost 31. I just pulled the carbs and cleaned the air passages. Cleaned air filter too. Trip to Iron Horse will be the tell. Yep, same machine.

Yep....missin' a couple volts to coils will definitely make it run rich. 110 mains across all four carbs as long as carbs are original Special carbs having the 5GL16 metering rods,(factory correct) with re-setting idle mixtures with a re-sync will get bike at its optimun. Ride safe buddy to the Iron Horse and back!
