Well, there you go...good one Marty! So now I guess I'll sit around again for another month or so wondering what to do! Meanwhile dielectric grease along with oil, tires, politics, and religion rounds out the top five things where consensus disappears as soon as more than one person is involved in the discussion!

Deoxit is good stuff. I now use it every time I have to take a connector apart. Also works well on my trailer connectors, particularly if they have not been used for a while. Should be a component of every tool box.

As a HAM radio operator, I've been using Deoxit for years. You DO need to be careful, as it IS conductive! On the bike, I use it for all ground connections and the dielectric in small amounts for positive connections.
An yes, I ride through rain and snow with no problems.Ray Matteis
