This forum is cruising along like Payne Stewart's Lear Jet. I'm waiting for the fuel to run out. I don't believe we have any moderator.

The two people I know of who have the ability to work on the database are MIA. I know life got in the way of one, it may be the cause of the other as well.
I cannot do anything other than move posts, etc. I'm NOT a software person, and don't know how to deal with this type of problem. I'm on the wrong coast to even try and meet with anyone who has control of the site.

          Hi Ray,
Do you have contact info fo "JP" I believe he is the owner of the domain.
The need for this site is as strong as ever for new owners and the desire of many of us is to remain in touch with our XSive buddies.

I agree with Marty that it is in freefall at the moment and a rescue operation is urgently needed.

Computers are still a mystery to me so I am not able to fix either.

I do not have the contact info for JP. This is one of the reasons I can't do much. The other is my background is in hardware and not software/firmware. I just don't have the skills needed to try and set things right.

That may be the answer. I've had the problem, and following the options in the error page gets me to a location that shows me logged in
"Venturered" 80 XS1100G - "DoraMax" getting sort of resto/destro ed.

Yeah it's a pretty blue, but just because you're old is no excuse to buy a bagger. Fortunately I have wrenches.

                  Password Changes - Logging in

I had a couple of problems.
                  - Password re-set works; it e-mailed me a new (temporary) password
                  - However, logging in gives me an error page. I find that if I log in with "Remember Me" box checked, and when I get the error page I click on "go to the web site" and I do get in and it works fine.
                  - BUT, when I try to change my password to something I know, it won't let me.

So I saved the e-mail where the site sent me a "temporary" password, and I use it every time. I click on "remember me" when I sign in, then click on go to the site from the error page, and I am in every time.

As long as I can always get in, no problem; but it would be nice to know that the site is maintained and will always be here. XS11.com is the best!

Under the current circumstances, I think it best that you plan for the disaster. I believe it's more likely than not.

What a shame it would be. Who owns the site, the software, the web address? I wish I knew more about what is involved in managing it.
