  • 2H7-14462-10-00 "Seal" for airbox

    Hi Folks,

In rebuilding the airbox on my 1980 XS1100LG, I find that the "seal", P/N 2H7-14462-10-00, is missing. Looking over the parts lists it is depicted as a small cube. Could be anything though I suspect it is some sort of air trap that Yamaha located at the low point in the air box. None of the usual parts houses carry it nor do I find one on eBay.

What is it and does anyone have a line on a replacement? Or does someone have an idea of what can be placed here to serve the same function?

    Thanks,

    Glen

It's just a plastic or rubber one way valve to allow liquids to drain out of the air box. I replaced mine with just a plastic pushpin for attaching automotive trim. Works well.
