Slipped into a neutral spot when shifting up then it dropped into gear, then no 5th after that. Also having trouble with lower gears a little bit, all happened on trip to the store this morning. Haven't taken it apart yet, but thinking it's probably the star plate, any other thoughts if not? Just when it was running so good too!

Is the shift lever springing back to to the detent position consistently?
Might be as simple as the spring on the shift shaft.-Mike

It's that star washer that holds the pins, that's out of production. 1 prong alll bent up, fortunately the pin was sitting right there in the bottom of the case. Seems I got a little excited with it running so well. I guess I'll see if Andreas has one around unless anyone chimes in soon.
Got a new little Spitfire windshield recently, really like it, with a fullface it's the perfect combo for wind81 Special
