    shims

    Hi Dell,

I have been thinking about setting up a shim exchange for awhile now, but never did get around to it. I think the problem is that The shim library over time accumulates mostly the sizes that nobody really needs.

I'm wondering if anyone has set up an exchange program here in the past, and if so, how did it work out out?

I'll take a look to see if I have any of the shim sizes that you need.

Just curious, what sizes would you have there to trade in?

If you have some local bike repair shops nearby they usually have the 29mm shims to purchase or swap. That would be the easiest. If nearby shop doesn't have them there is a 50-50 chance a dealer might. That would be the fastest way to get what you need

If that fails, places like Z1 www.z1enterprises.com sells 29mm shim in single shim units for $5 each. Be on their way to you tonight.

I have the 3 2.85's, and the 2.55. If you want these, pm me with your address and I'll send them priority mail. The 2.70 I don't have, but that gets you down to just one to find, and it's a lot easier.
Just send me back 4 that you don't need so I can put them back in my box.

          have 270

OK, I checked my kit and I have a 270 for you, I could use a 260 or 265 if you have one to trade, but if not, whatever one you have left over is fine. PM Me with mailing address.

              Shims

I've a dozen or so shims (have to check sizes?) once I dig em out and check sizes I/WE could add them to an exchange list. Maybe even a fast search with PM messages to let the folks that have what you need make a quick contact, or you them.
Of course updating would be up to the one that listed them ?
Must be a even easier way ? No ?
Is there a way to update what one might have left or added ? ? ?
