I regularly see 79 speedo's on Ebay. also The tach on my 79sf usually jumps around a little between 3000-5000 rpm's. I think my speedo is off just a little bit. 16 in rear tire, 8000 rpm's speedo reads right at 140 mph. This is the fastes I've been on my XS. With a Vetter faring, no lowers or front spoiler to hold the bike down, the front end started feeling pretty light so I back down. There was still throttle there though. As I said in previose threads. I think the 134mph rating for these bikes are under rated. Mabee I have the force with me. I dunno but she moves out XSivlly when I want her to. As far as running consistantly over 100, I don't do that very often. Only when needed,
