  • Put to bed for the winter

It has been lightly snowing at night for 4 nights in a row. It was depressing, but I put the 2 xs11's in the shed for the winter, while the drive to it was still accessible. I still need to block the air cleaner snorkels and bring the batteries to the heated garage.

On the plus side, I do have the Honda ST1300 in the garage in case the weather is inviting. Heated grips and seat will help.

The coldest I have ever ridden the XS11's was 14 degrees F. Haha! Now I am too old for that nonsense.

You and me both Sid! First year(81) of owning my Venturer, plus still being invincible, winter time used to ride it to work from 10mi. north of Durango at way cold temps(-28F). No garage at the time, so used to put heavy blanket over bike and a heat lamp underneath motor night before. Next morning, insulated suit, mittins and helmet. Yep....craziness at age 29.

Yea early to bed this year I believe too for me. Although it’s not to cold just always seems wet. I don’t mind riding in rain but not cold as well. I keep saying next day to make sure weather isn’t gonna change overnight but it never does.
