1980 XS1100LG Starter Solenoid?

Hello Friends,

I'm in need of a starter solenoid for a 1980 XS1100LG...1J7-81940-10-00.

Apparently, the NOS is no longer available.

I've tried the China made replacement, but it didn't even work out of the box.

I've also tried disassembling the old one and I did have a bit of success in cleaning and filing the contacts, but I'm now back to square one.

Can anyone recommend an after market unit that will give me years of satisfaction like the original did?

I'm close by and I have a used OEM solenoid off of an SG if you want one...just pm me with contact info if you can use it.
