Skids,
Regrettably IIRC TRBig/Todd did it on the side stand, AND there was enough slack when the CCT was removed to allow the chain the drop around the crank sprocket, and it also slipped to the SIDE of the sprocket and was pinched between the sprocket and the side of the crankshaft. SO...surprisingly the chain did spin the cams some, but not exactly in time and allows the cams to get out of time and let pistons hit valves.
So...even on the CENTER STAND there can be enough slack EVEN ON THE "C" mark to allow the chain to drop around the crankshaft sprocket skipping a tooth. This is why I posted about IF someone is going to perform a CCT/ACCT conversion, they SHOULD remove the valve cover, and also then rotate the EXHAUST cam CLOCKWISE with a wrench while removing the CCT to take up the SLACK that is on that side of the chain that will NOT be being taken up when the CCT and plunger is removed. You do not rotate the crank, or the INTAKE cam, just the Exhaust cam just enough to pull the slack up while the CCT is out. Then after installing the ACCT, you then rotate the Exhaust cam CCW to feed the slack back down to the ACCT as it's plunger should push inwards racheting into place taking up the slack. Then with the ACCT in place, rotate the engine a couple of times and then recheck the valve timing with the TDC and cam dots to ensure that the chain is still in proper position and hasn't skipped a tooth.

PS, this is the 30 minute CCT mod that I posted into with photos from Photobucket,
