  • 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Special Ignition Key

I had to spend the night at a hospital and they somehow lost my freaking key. I do not have the key code. How do I go about getting a duplicate?

The code is stamped on the fuel cap, 4 numbers. What I did when I lost my LH key was use a 10mm 1/4" drive socket to remove the ignition switch and take it to a locksmith. I had two keys made at that time, cost about $20 in Arizona.

        code

The 4 digit code is on top of the ignition switch and gas cap (matching codes) on my 80LG, but there are no visible codes on top of my 79SF or the 81LH.
