Any thoughts on this one? On start up cylinder 4 ain't working, after a while it comes on line. The ignition side looks ok, new plugs, good blue spark, swopped over leads between 1 & 4, problem remains with 4. Fuel is flowing into carb 4.
Proven with cylinder 4.

If it's not spark it pretty much has to be fuel. Unless you maybe just got a bad plug. Swap plugs around and see if it follows the plug.Greg

If you have good compression and spark, the only thing missing is something that burns, AKA fuel. You say fuel is getting "to" carb four, but it may not be getting past the float valve. Previous problems of this nature have been bowl gaskets stopping the float from dropping to allow fuel in the bowl to fire that hole. May try tapping the bowl when it is dead and see what happens. Trimming the gasket is the fix for this problem.1981 XS1100H Venturer
