  • Chain Drive conversion ready to buy

Does anyone here have one for sale? A chain drive conversion?

Here's a link for the chain drive:

    http://www.motionlogics.com/contents...DRIVE_KIT.html
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
    1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
    1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
    1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
    1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

$1180 for the whole motion logics kit. Anyone have any before and after dyno info? Wondering how much rwhp is gained from this conversion?

Also,..I don't see any mention of what to do to convert the rear for chain drive. Is there a sprocket that "slaps right in"...(I doubt it)?

      Thanks!

Pretty sure you will have to swap out the swingarm and rear wheel to fit the chain drive.

That would be cool but for that much cash a newer bike may be the easiest route.

Back sometime ago there was an aussy who did a home job chain drive mod and posted it up on this site. Put thousands of miles on it and a few years later when I stopped posting here he was still ridding it. There also was another guy on the site who made a professional looking chain drive kit and sold a few here.

Have no idea who's doing what nowadays...

For what the XS11 is to me, I love the shaft drive. Chain drive is another vintage bike, and there's lots of em.

But I get it, guys like to tinker with bikes.
