  • Good news, bad news

Thanks to all for your help. Finally after 3 months and 2 attempts I finally have my 2nd gear problem fixed. I resorted to removing all of the gears. It made the repair a lot easier but damn it's hard to put back together. I have the bruises to show for it. I also opted to get a new clutch basket from a salvage yard to replace the one I broke the bolt on. Anyway the good news is for the first time since I bought this bike it shifts smoothly through ALL gears, the bad news is you all won't be getting any parts from it since I'll keep it in one piece....for now.

Well the "bad news" is good news to me. I like hearing about these bikes being brought back to life instead of falling to the parts canibals! (like myself)
