My modifications to my XS1100
a) had lots of gas leaks from the tank fuel valve
so replaced the vacuum diaphragm with gasket material
then ground the stop off the plate so fuel selector level would rotate to top per pic and manually shut off the gas
works great but had to grind to shorten the lever so would not hit tank...


b) side bag chains
lost my side bag cover (when it was not fully latched down) in the middle of a night ride across country and the only other car on road ran over it so added these chains to stop from happening again
c) cruise control - made this simple throttle control for cross county ride in 1978- works great- easy to adjust- can provide more details if needed
d) add Fuel filters- had problem with particles in gas so added these auto fuel filters under tank
