  • Dynatec dc1-2 mini coils

Has anyone tried the mini coils from dynatec? They are cheaper and smaller than the dc1. I have a bad coil so I went looking and found these

    Any thoughts on these?

    Hey Chris,

Here's the web page for DynaTek coils:

    http://www.dynaonline.com/products/a...yna-coils.aspx

    And here's a quote about those mini-coils:

    Dynatek Miniature Series Coils
Advanced magnetic core technology delivers high output in one of the smallest packages available. Great for customs where coils need to be hidden. These coils are designed for use with the Dyna 2000 and 3000 series ignitions, factory installed electronics, or other after-market ignitions that employ dwell control.
The Key phrases are bolded and underlined. Dwell control limits how long the coils are energized, without it they stay powered up too long, and will burn up!! Our 30+ year old ignitions do NOT use Dwell control.

DynaTek's other aftermarket coils ARE designed to work with a variety of ignition systems that do NOT have Dwell control!
