    Another picture

Have ridden about 300 miles since spring. Finally running well, no more fuel leaks!

      My old ride . . . Continued.

Got it all cleaned up today. Engine covers have original finish, not polished.

          Thanks!

Would like to thank many forum members for parts and technical support. Much appreciated, thanks!

PS . . . Purchased one of these new in a crate in 1981 when I was a kid (22). Now I am old (er)! Still a fun ride. Could never decide if my first one was red or brown. This one, 'Indigo Blue'. Looks black most of the time. Miles are original, by title.

Beautiful 79F, looks 100% stock except for the knobs on the handlebars.

              Edit: and the engine guards

The knobs are for mounting a plexifairing. Like riding better without it, actually!

                    That bike is spectacular !
Don't let those plexi fairing knobs get loose and lost.
I just spent a couple days looking for hardware for a plexi, got one without and I had spares I saved from my 79SF when a tree jumped in front of me back in 80.

                          Hat off to you

                          Padre,

Great job. That bike looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Refreshing to see one brought back to it's original glory versus all the cafe attempts we see lately.

                              Indigo Blue

It is actually blue, very dark blue, need to be in good light to see it. Some paint is original, tank repainted due to many scratches from lengthy storage. Was probably used as a storage shelf for 30+ years!

To quote an old hymn: 'up from the grave he arose!'

                              Thanks for great encouraging feedback!
