  • Has anyone seen this fairing?!

I may have posted about this before as a comment on one of my first threads when I got my bike a year ago, but it's been really bothering me lately.
My bike came with a mystery fairing. I had hoped that maybe someone at the rally could give me a lead, but everyone there seemed to have no idea what it was!
I would love to identify it, if for no other reason than to find the headlight that's supposed to go into the absurdly large hole. If you have any clue as to what to search or where to look to find the ident on this thing, please speak freely!

The only markings on it are a suzuki logo on the windscreen and a "please replace windshield with official suzuki replacement" on the insert. Otherwise it's unmarked.

    fairing

It could be a "Pichler" fairing, they came from germany. I almost put a very similar one on my 1983 CB1100f back in the eighties. I think it looks great I hope you keep it on the bike.

I think we have a winner!!
After a quick search I haven't found anything that matches exactly, but Pichler made quite the line of fairings that bear a very close likeness to what I have. Seems I have one off of a Suzuki, given the branding. And given a bit of research, guess that means I'm looking for a mid to late 80s suzu square headlight.
      Thank you sir!

And yes. That fairing IS staying on Roxy. I've ridden without it, and now with it, and after mounting, I can't imagine riding without it again.

Fairing is from a '90 - '91 Suzuki GSX1100. Here is the same fairing in red.

Photo not mine, found it on the internet...

Alright. Not sure if i should start a new thread for this, but since this is here ill go for it.
Even now knowing what it is, i find that information on it is unobtainable. Apparently the factory fairing was rare and never really talked about.
Im still trying to find a headlight for it. It uses a standard gsx headlight, but is missing a plastic piece that covers between the headlight and the square hole. Also, apparently a glass or clear plastic cover over the light.
I can make the clear cover, but does anyone have any ideas on what to use for the plastic insert piece?
heres what the front is supposed to look like.

Looking at your setup, I think you can make it work with the square light.
                    1. Paint the chrome trim ring flat black
                    2. Put in at least 4 mount points for the plastic cover
                    3. Use wetsuit material to make the filler between the headlamp and the fairing.
You can get a small piece of 6mm material, cut out the shapes to fit and look like you want, and glue them together. Keep it so it's just a little bit too small for the headlight, and a little too big for the fairing. It will then just slip in and hold in place, looking good. If needed, you can use velcro to keep it in place.
                    Just my cheapazz idea.

Ooo wetsuit material. Never would have thought of that. Gotta look into it.
I think i am going with the round light however, just to match the round signals
