Genuine Mikuni

I need Genuine Mikuni pilots and float needles cuz I got the K&L's and it shows. I looked at JetsRUs and they just sell the needle/seat combo--for $25 each, that's $100 I can't spend on float needles. I have the original seats and I have new o-rings as well from a mistaken K&L purchase.
Mike's XS doesn't seem to use the words Genuine Mikuni on his site. Are his jets and needles Genuine or OEM? If not, where else can I get Genuine Mikuni float needles and pilots?

Sounds like your on a budget, most of us are to some point .
Do you still have the original needles and seats ?
Was something wrong with them that they needed replacement ?
Could clean them up and put them back into service .
The Mikuni pilots might cost as little as $5 each, I can check with my shop, they have been good to me in the past .

Hey, I kinda of started this question in two threads, so I'm going to just follow it up in the original thread: "81 Special Project". Feel free to chime in. I am on somewhat of a budget, but if it saves me trouble and time and gets the bike running RIGHT, I'm willing to spend the money now rather than later. My old needles look too worn to use again and the springs are stuck too, but I'm going to reuse all the seats if I can. Turns out two of my old pilots are still fine, I only had to drill out two of them, they're cheap anyway--$6 each genuine.

Don't be surprised

if your specify Genuine Mikuni from Jetrus and get K&L. I did and sent them back with the sales slip and they wouldn't refund my money. So now they have the needles and the cash. Won't even return my calls!!!

Ok, well I just ordered the pilots from the local dealer so that's good news, should be here in a couple days

Partzilla

Partzilla is another great source for parts. They show float valves at $18.18. Mikuni is the best, but the best is not cheap.
