Float Drop How Much?

Hi - seems like lots of carb leakage issues right now on this site!

I am going to tackle my leak problem by installing new OEM float needles.

One suspect problem is I may have increased the float drop TOO MUCH.

Does anyone have a specification on what the float drop should be for a 79F?

I don't have the links to the photos provided by the UK guys showing the float drop and the float needle valve sitting COCKED/angled in the valve seat because it's dropped too far down. So...see how far the float can drop and the valve seat doesn't come out too far from the seat so that can't get angled and wedge against the float tang!
