My '80 I would start it up from cold, wait at most 30 seconds to start riding, putting the enritcher to the first stop, and all the way off within 2 minutes. It would still not be 100% until about 5 minutes, but after that, look out!Ray Matteis

I guess these air cooled 4's aren't suited much for traffic.Ray Matteis

I will beg to differ that these bikes don't handle stop and go very well! Ask anyone who attended the Colorado rally the past two times and waited in line to get through the gate to ride the Pikes Peak Highway up to 14,114 feet.
I/they have never seen bikes get that hot sitting in the line, even in lifetimes of living in the HOT Midwest. Smoke began wafting up from the cylinder fins of some bikes as dust and stuff got so hot. Once moving it got better, but it was a hot ride going up hill at slow speed with less dense air flowing to cool the bikes.
Everyone got home just fine with nothing worse for the wear, other than our brains from stressing over it in the moment.
These bikes are crazy well-engineered.Last edited by Bonz; 03-17-2017, 11:25 AM.Howard

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

Petcock towers and reserve
Almost got the brakes back together, waiting to have the fitting at the rear master bent a little to fit the line in. The screens are a little torn on the petcock towers, but they'll still work fine for keeping reserve functional, right? I have in line filters.81 Special
