  • Bypassing the Vacuum system

Ready to hook up my carbs back to my bike, but wanting to confirm the proper hookup since I am bypassing, I know the fuel lines go to the bottom valves on the carbs, but for the top valves do I just need to cap them off? Also for the vacuum line coming out of the engine, does it go to the valve on the front of the 2nd carb?

      Valves? What valves?

If you mean the upper and lower tees for the carburetors:

The upper tees are for the float bowl vents and they can't be capped or the carburetors won't carburet. The vent tees should have a hose connected to one of the plastic nipples on the air box so that only filtered air is used to equalize the pressure in the float bowls.

The lower tees are for fuel. If you eliminated the octy/vacuum controlled fuel valve you'll have to cap one of the nipples on the fuel tank valve and use the other nipple to run a fuel line to the fuel tee on the carburetor.

Yep, the small vacuum line from the engine is the vacuum advance line and it goes to the brass nipple on the #2 carburetor.
