Did anyone find out if any of the xs650 floats would work in a 78e? I have one bad one and dealer wants $20 ea for them...would love to get then cheeper at mikes xs

Side car Kev has changed all of his floats over to the plastic ones from XS650 Mike. His initial report was good. Before ordering I suggest that you check with Kev and find out his results now that a couple of weeks have gone by. You could likely locate and contact him through the members at the top of the page.

Hey sksxs1100,

Yep the plastic floats for a xs650 will work in the 78-79 xs11. For some reason the floats aren't on his website but if you give Mike from www.mikesxs.com a call he can set you up. Make sure you order the plastic ones and make sure they are for the 34mm carbs. $10 each including priority mail. The floats are more kidney shaped rather than round but they will work.Set the float height just like the brass ones. If ya got more questions let me know.
