I've been thinking about buying these decals for one of my standards:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/300487125505...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

The listing states that they are for an 81 Venture.
The seller doesn't know if they would fit right on a 78 or 79 standard or not.

    My question is:

Are the 78E and 79F tanks the same size and shape as the 81 venture?

    Thanks

The 81 tank is taller and holds more fuel than the 78-80 Standard tanks, I would figure those decals would be too tall, might be able to trim them down if need be?

As bikerphil says the Venturer tank is bigger/taller so the white patches would be too big. the pinstripe ,if shaped, would also not match the profile of the 78 tank. straight pinstripe is available from decal stores.

        KZ900.com

KZ900.com has the decals you need. Takes a while to get them, but they have good parts. They have emblems as well.
