Been thinking about getting rid of the ugly tail light on my bike. Too me thats what really dates this bike. I did'nt buy this bike to have an antique, I bought it because of it's power. So what do you think of the picture I doctored, before I mess up the back end of my bike.

how do you plan on filling in the holes in the rear fender?

Chris, I like it. I think that smaller Lockhart type square turnsignals would look the part. I have an 80 Standard and I'm going to Corbin seat factory soon where you can discuss the look you want and sit there in their restaurant watching through glass while your seat comes alive and therefore the "look" you want. Leaving off the rear fender looks clean and modernizes the profile providing you can efficiently mount the license plate. One other possibility is leave the fender on and replace the taillight assembly with a small clean LED unit...they are in many catalogs for about $40. Good luck with your choices! Doyle
