Anybody know if disks from a 81xs11h will work on a 79f?

Yes, you can mix and match disks from any XS11. Bolt pattern and setback are all the same. The "newer" disks have slots in them, but drilling a few holes with a carbide bit will also work. I found a pattern on here, and drilled the solid rotors on my '79 so it would stop better in the rain.

That's the reason I'm asking g, I don't have the patience for drilling myself nor do I have the means right now. Just wanted to know if they would swap before I wasted my hard earned allowance. Kids are expensive....lol thanks a ton

This is why I've enjoyed this site so much, everyone is willing to pitch in and help a guy out with all thier questions. This ol bike has been a adventure, and I've acquired a 77 xs750 triple for $50. I'm not going to stop with any of these vintage bikes, grampa used to say sometimes you find a diamond in a goats a$$, he was a bit of a crude man but he's got a point. Thanks again for the know how, I'm sure I'll have more questions later.
