Hello everyone. I have 2 carbs that choke is stuck. I have removed nut and spring. How do I get it to release?

    Thanks Paul

You need to remove the set screw on the metal tang that catches the choke/enricher rod. Get a screw driver that fits it exactly, as there is locktight on it from the factory, and they are easy to strip. You then remove the rod, watching for the springs and 1/8" BB on the #1 & #3 carbs.

Its the metal choke rod at carb 4. Choke rod at carb 3 released. Rick called me back and said to use a penetrating oil to get it to release.

Are you sure it's the rod and not the #4 brass choke plunger that's stuck?

Red that is what it was. I didnt explain it right. I got it to break loose sprayed a little carb cleaner and it seems to be moving as it should. Hopefully going for a ride tomorrow.
