Why does my oil light flash with turn signal

    TC I think you are on to something.
    I looked closely at the plug and the wires don't match colors through it. I removed the pins in the pilot box plug and connected them to their correct colors in the wiring harness plug and everything works except the headlight warning. I'll try again.
    Next question is why are they all messed up. Would a pilot box from another model Yamaha say a XS850 look the same but the pinout be different?
    Slow down and enjoy life. If you are in that much of a hurry, you should have left eariler.

      Yep, PO's do the damnedest things, glad you got it sorted. I have found the pinouts are different on some models, the handlebar controls and speedometers come to mind.

        Apparently the pilot box was replaced at some point with the wrong one. I rearranged the wires in the plug and separated another and it all works .
        Slow down and enjoy life. If you are in that much of a hurry, you should have left eariler.

            Looks like we will have another resurrected XS11 at XSSE this year. This bike belongs to my friend Tony(He rode the white Triumph last year). He will be riding his own XS this year.
            Slow down and enjoy life. If you are in that much of a hurry, you should have left eariler.
